DEMENTIA UK

Department: Philanthropy and Partnerships
Location: Hybrid working – between office location and home
Hours of work: 22.5 hours/week
Contract: Part-time, fixed-term contract (2 years)
Salary: £18,000 – £20,100 per annum, pro rata (£30,000 – £33,500 FTE)
Closing date: 18th January 2024 at 10.00am
Annual Leave: 33 days (plus eight bank holidays)

Background

Every three minutes someone in the UK develops dementia; a progressive and complex condition that can be devastating for the whole family. One in two of us will be affected by dementia in our lifetime – either by caring for someone with the condition, developing it ourselves, or both.

Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nursing charity that is there for the whole family. Our specialist nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, provide free, expert advice, support and understanding to help families care for their loved one. Every day, Admiral Nurses help families up and down the country to have the best life possible for as long as possible.

About the role

We are looking for a Corporate Partnerships Executive to provide hands-on support with an exciting new, multi-million-pound partnership at Dementia UK. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the Partner’s CSR team alongside Dementia UK’s Corporate Partnerships Manager who will be working ‘in house’ on the partnership.

Over the past few years, Dementia UK’s Fundraising and Engagement department has experienced substantial growth, forging strategic partnerships with major national companies across a range of sectors. We have recently secured a charity of the year partnership with a leading business, in the financial sector, that will be transformational for the charity.

As a key member of the Corporate Partnerships team, you will ensure that our new Partner has a first-class experience working with Dementia UK. You will support on all aspects of the partnership including delivery of key events throughout the year and organising fundraising activities in line with their interests. You will play a crucial role supporting employees with their fundraising, offering tailored stewardship to make them feel valued as an individual and as a key part of the wider partnership. You will provide valuable account partnership support by creating compelling content tailored for the Partner to help maximise the partnership potential and achieve our ambitious fundraising targets.

The ideal candidate will be an expert at building relationships with a good foundation of account management experience, and ideally be someone who has supported on a high value, multi-faceted corporate partnership. You will need to be proactive, and passionate about our cause, to successfully move and motivate their employees for the duration of the partnership. You will be confident writing effective and engaging communications such as proposals and impact reports.
