Hybrid working with regular travel to our London Bridge Office

What the job involves

We’re looking for two Events and Community Fundraising Coordinators to join our high performing Events and Community Team. The team are driven to maximise opportunities, we aim to reach ambitious targets and provide an excellent supporter experience.

Our team raise funds through a range of activities including:

· our own events (e.g. March for Men)

· virtual products (e.g. The Month Series)

· third party events (e.g. London Marathon)

· Golf Days

· helping community fundraisers who organise their own activity

We have two opportunities available; one permanent vacancy and one fixed term contract until 31st October 2024.

The permanent role will sit within the Events function of the team, supporting our third-party events programme, whilst the fixed term role will sit across our bespoke and virtual products, supporting activity such as March for Men and The Month Series.

You’ll be our first point of contact for our fundraisers. You’ll provide admin and support through telephone, email, and social media channels. You’ll build and manage relationships with existing and new supporters. From registration to the end of their supporter journey you’ll help motivate during challenges, offer fundraising advice and ensure thanks at the end of a first-class experience.

Whilst each Coordinator has a primary area of responsibility across different types of events, you’ll also work across teams to support where needed during busy periods of activity.

This role works with data through maintaining our Raiser’s Edge database. You’ll also update records on JustGiving and Enthuse. This requires accuracy and working under the requirements of GDPR.

You’ll also work with our Communications teams supports the planning and delivery of our activity. You’ll help engage with our digital adverts and identify compelling supporter stories. This helps to raise the profile of our fundraising products, as well as prostate cancer and Prostate Cancer UK.

What we want from you

You’ll have the drive and eagerness to provide crucial support to our sector-leading programme of events which is on track to generate £12.3M of income in 2023-24. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their fundraising career to grow, develop and gain valuable skills and experience in a fundraising role within a progressive and innovative organisation. You’ll be part of a passionate and high energy team fighting to stop prostate cancer from being a killer.

You’ll make a positive and valuable contribution to the success of the Events and Community Fundraising team through excellent communication skills and being proactive in supporting our event participants. You’ll have a strong eye for detail, customer-centric mindset and will be able to prioritise a busy workload to ensure we are able to consistently deliver excellent supporter care. You’ll be self-motivated, well organised and have a ‘can-do’ approach to the role.
