The 2 Minute Foundation is national charity born from a hashtag #2minutebeachclean. We are environmental educators and we give people the tools and encouragement they need to lead a planet positive lifestyle. We do this through our social media campaigns and engagement, our 2 Minute Beach School, environmental learning offering for the community and our unique clean up Stations.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Fundraising Coordinator with a passion for the environment to join the 2 Minute team in this new, permanent position. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects for a fast-growing, national environmental charity based in Bude, North Cornwall and help make a significant difference to protecting our oceans.

The successful candidate will have some prior Fundraising experience, ideally in Trust Fundraising or Corporate Fundraising, and have excellent communication skills and strong organisational and relationship building skills.

This is an exciting time to join the team, having recently won a multi-year partnership with The National Lottery we will be building on this success as we develop new partnerships with existing and new funders. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow with the team and enjoy a varied role with plenty of developmental opportunities.

You’ll be a self-starter with a positive attitude and be ready to roll up your sleeves and join a fun, collaborative and professional team just minutes from the north Cornwall coast!

Main Purpose of the role

The Fundraising Coordinator will support the Head of Fundraising to secure long-term corporate partnerships with national partners, develop and grow Community Fundraising and Individual Giving and maximise opportunities by making applications to Charitable Trusts and Foundations to raise funds.

The Fundraising Coordinator’s remit is wide, providing support by thanking and liaising with supporters and having ownership of larger projects such as applying to Charitable Trusts (up to five figures) and account managing some of T2MF’s small-medium corporate partnerships.

Overall, you will be working closely with the Head of Fundraising (you’ll be expected to be able to travel to Bude at least once a fortnight) to meet income objectives, enabling T2MF to develop and enhance its services around the UK which include; raising awareness of plastic pollution, funding litter picking stations and increasing the impact of our 2 Minute Beach School.

Main Responsibilities

*Write and submit compelling grant applications (up to five figures).

*Support the Head of Fundraising with day-to-day tasks including; thanking and liaising with supporters, updating the CRM, providing information for reports, supporting with appeals, updating the Trusts and Grants pipeline.

*Research and identify new Trust and Foundation opportunities to approach.

*Work with the Marketing Manager to provide stories and content that can be shared on digital channels and other communications to help encourage and inspire further support.

*Work with the Head of Fundraising to build relationships with community groups and seek funding from organisations such as Rotary clubs, schools and other groups.

*Develop and manage your own portfolio of existing and new corporate partners to achieve income and awareness objectives.

*Represent T2MF at key networking events and platforms.

Essential experience

*A minimum of 2 years’ Fundraising experience in either Trusts, Corporate or Community Fundraising.

*Excellent written and interpersonal skills.

*Skilled and confident in using Microsoft 365.

*Ability to work as part of a team and manage workload independently.

*Confident and experienced using a CRM on a daily basis.

Desirable experience

*Proven track record of writing successful five figure + grant applications.

*Experience of working in the environmental sector.

*Experience of working in a small, fast-growing and ambitious charity.

*Working closely with and managing volunteers.
