Head of Fundraising

Monday – Friday: 37.5 Hours a Week (Flexible)

Annual Salary between £40,000 – £45,000 depending upon experience

People Solutions are delighted to present an opportunity for a Head of Fundraising to join our esteemed client, a registered charity based in Cardiff.

Reporting directly to the charity CEO, the purpose of this role is to develop and grow a fundraising team and to develop the strategies to generate the all-important revenue needed to fund research.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to create a programme of fundraising that will accelerate the impact that the charity will have on service users and their families.

Day to Day Duties

  • Promote awareness of the charity and increase engagement from the public by employing a variety of methods.
  • Work with the fundraising team to develop an exciting programme of events that will deliver the fundraising annual budget.
  • Harness existing relationships with the charity’s support network and find opportunities to grow the network.
  • Preparation of funding plans with full financial data.
  • Create fundraising presentations and materials to engage and inspire potential new supporters of the charity.
  • Produce reports and relevant data for the board of trustees.
  • Conduct in depth research into potential new opportunities and supports of the charity.

Essential Skills

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and influence others.
  • The ability to create and implement a robust fundraising strategy that meets fundraising codes of practice guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate instructions and expectations clearly.
  • A DBS check will be completed for this position, you must be able to pass the check.

Desirable Experience

  • Ability to communicate in Welsh.
  • Membership of the Institute of Fundraising.
  • Confident and enthusiastic.

What training is provided?

  • Training will be provided ‘on the job’
