Can you play key part in changing health outcomes for thousands of people across London?

The British Liver Trust is the leading UK charity for adults at risk of, or affected by, any type of liver disease and liver cancer. Liver disease is in crisis across the country, with late or missed diagnosis leading to avoidable deaths. There is a lack of awareness and understanding of the range and causes of liver conditions, which needs to change.

The outreach team at the British Liver Trust are at the forefront of our public-facing work. We deliver a wide portfolio of patient support, health awareness and promotion and outreach projects.

We are looking for a highly motivated and well-organised Outreach Officer to join our UK-wide team.

Based in London, you will facilitate online and in-person patient and family support groups, engage with other third sector organisations and build strong relationships with hospitals for the benefit of patients.

About you you want to make a direct difference in two keyways – by supporting people with liver disease and by helping us tackle one of the biggest health challenges in the UK.

You are highly motivated, have great time-management skills and relish the challenge of delivering a variety of different outreach projects. You communicate with empathy and understanding, have a passion for improving health outcomes, and are adept at self-directed work and playing your part collaboratively in a wider team.

Experience of facilitating support groups is a key requirement for this role.

You must be able to work unsociable hours (some evening and weekend work involved).

About us Ive never worked somewhere where everyone is so onboard and committed, its quite inspirational! We are a well-motivated team, with good job satisfaction and working relationships. Some of our employee benefits include:

– Life assurance 4x salary from date of employment
– 5% employer pension contribution, rising to 7.5% at 15 months and 10% at 27 months service
– Gifted 3 days paid leave between Christmas and New Year
