Location:Leicester, 43 Melton Street, LE1 3NB

Line Manager:Centre Manager

Full Time:37.5 hours a week Mon Fri (able to work Saturdays as required)

Salary: £25,900 – £27,900 for 37.5 hours per week
Maternity Cover (free lunch included)

Description of Organisation

The Bridge is a charity working with the homeless and hardest to reach in Leicester. We have various projects which provide support, advice, guidance, food and clothing to anyone who walks through our doors in need. We are an organisation with many volunteers and a vision to provide everyone in Leicester a place to call home and hope for the future. We work within a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) framework.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will support the CEO in identifying, nurturing and securing income from new and existing sources, including identifying additional grant and fund-raising opportunities and developing our Business Champion partnerships.

You will also play a lead role in the marketing and brand development of The Bridge Homelessness to Hope, including managing our website and social media platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing and updating The Bridges website based on the needs of the charity
  • Updating our Stay in the Know blog on a regular basis with stories from The Bridge Homeless to Hope and those who are fundraising for our charity
  • Managing our social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Linked In
  • Building new Business Champion partnerships and maintaining our current one
  • Giving talks and presenting to current Business Champion partners, schools, organisations and potential funders
  • Be the key point of contact for external fundraisers
  • Setting up and managing our internal fundraising events e.g. 12 Days of Christmas Campaign and annual Big Sleep fundraising event in collaboration with the University of Leicester
  • Designing and distributing marketing materials to our partners, fellow organisations and guests (service users) including our annual Impact Report
  • Ensuring accurate records are entered onto our CRM system in a timely manner and use this data to monitor, evaluate and report on the impact of the project
  • Working in-line with The Bridges policies and procedures at all times, taking a pro-active approach to safeguarding
  • Taking an active approach to personal development, finding and taking opportunities to develop relevant knowledge and skills to the role and sector
  • Where necessary, undertaking any other reasonable duties to ensure and support the day-to-day operations of the charity
  • Bid writing to gain additional core funding for our day centre and activities for our guests
