A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a strategic Recruitment Manager to join our award winning debt charity and be responsible for implementing a recruitment strategy which enables us to identify, attract and retain the diverse range of talent we need to deliver successful outcomesReporting to the HR Shared Services Manager, will contribute to the overall alignment of departmental strategies to the Charity’s future aims and objectives.The role will provide leadership to the recruitment function and manage delivery of recruitment across the organisation.Who Are We?At Stepchange Hundreds of thousands of people come to us for help every year. Whatever the situation we’ll look for practical solutions that make our clients’ lives better.What Will You Be Doing?Leadership

  • Lead the Recruitment team and manage, coach, and develop team members to ensure they are sufficiently equipped to perform their duties.
  • Role model the leadership behaviours

Strategy

  • Oversee the development of LinkedIn (alongside other social media outlets) as a candidate attraction tool and encourage business wide participation in supporting candidate attraction and continuous development of our brand.
  • Deploy candidate attraction strategies to deliver a diverse range of quality candidates.

Budget

  • Provide inputs to annual budgeting process, manage areas of budget effectively and ensure strict adherence to budgetary requirements.

WorkforcePlanning

  • Ensure the effective management of recruitment, working to operational plans and identifying key risks and opportunities as appropriate.

Data&Analytics

  • Build data to evaluate the recruitment and selection process, identify areas where improvements are required and formulate solutions.

Engagement

  • Connect colleagues to directorate and organisation strategy and enable them to understand their contribution and how they make a difference.
  • Develop your own and encourage others to build and retain strong relationships across the whole organisation

Projects

  • Support in scoping and implementing recruitment elements of strategic project delivery.
  • Lead on specific people projects, ensuring delivery of tangible improvements as scoped in the project plan or outline.

External relationships

  • Lead the Team to manage and facilitate external relationships to ensure effective service provision.
  • Undertaking and encouraging team members to engage in external networking to ensure up to date knowledge and consider and implement best practice.

Risk management

  • Ensure accurate reporting, management and escalation of any significant business issues or risk
  • Discharge all responsibilities assigned and perform all tasks, duties and responsibilities with due care and diligence as required by the charity and in doing so have full regard of the FCA conduct rules

What Do We Need From You?

  • Experience of managing and leading a recruitment team
  • Significant budgetary and cost management experience
  • Sound recruitment knowledge with a good grasp of the marketplace, diversity and strategic requirements
  • Complex problem-solving skills.
  • Strong relationship building and partnering skills
