Merrifield Consultants are delighted to be partnering with a leading Children’s charity to recruit a Senior Partnership Manager for a fixed-term period of 12 months.

Job Title: Senior Partnerships Manager

Salary: £40,000/annum

Location: Central London (1 day in the office and regular travel)

12 months Fixed term contract

About the Role:

As a Senior Partnerships Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing a regional team of partnerships professionals and a network of regional partners. The focus will be on supporting the charity’s work across England, with a specific emphasis on the South of England. The role involves extensive travel within the region, occasional travel to other parts of the UK.

Responsibilities: Senior Partnerships Manager

Line Management – Manage the regional partnership team to:

Build and maintain excellent relationships with local stakeholders that underpin and allow the charities work.
Lead and manage regional delivery of programmes.
Lead and manage processes to build the impact of the programmes in the communities they serve.
Work to develop the charities placed based approach to programmes, projects, pilots and learning. Relationships:

Establish and maintain effective relationships across local authorities and communities in the supported region.
Lead the regional team in communicating the value and benefits of the charity’s programmes and objectives to key local and strategic partners.
Plan and execute high-quality, timely communications to current and prospective partners.
Manage positive relationships with local Arts Council England representatives. Delivery:

Collaborate with partners and the internal team to plan and execute effective roll-outs of the charity’s programmes.
Manage regional processes, including annual audits, budgetary matters, and presentation of regional reporting information.
Monitor and support partner performance in relation to programmes, projects, and learning opportunities.
Work with local authorities and community partners to identify, test, and learn about best practice delivery models. Impact:

Support partners in sharing best practices and develop opportunities to do so across the regional partnership teams.
Monitor and improve the performance and impact of charity programmes delivered by partners.
Use data and local knowledge to identify areas of specific need or interest to the charity.
Collaborate with internal and external colleagues to evaluate, assess, and implement necessary changes.

Skills and Experience Required: Senior Partnerships Manager

Experience in line managing staff and managing relationships with internal and external partners.
Confident and experienced manager with excellent communication skills.
Positive and enthusiastic, with the ability to develop relationships across a wide range of people and groups.
Excellent communication skills in writing, in person, and through presentations.
Experience in delivering programmes within a local government or third-sector organisation in England.
