We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Service Delivery Manager to join the Pan London Children and Young People’s Service managing CYP multi crime service across South and East London covering Maternity leave.

About the role:

This role is based in our Islington office with flexibility of hybrid working. The role requires travelling to other VS offices across London. As a Senior Service Delivery Manager, you will:

  • Inspire your team to create a culture of excellent customer service
  • Coach staff to provide effective immediate & longer term support & advocacy
  • Create a culture of excellence ensuring KPIs are achieved
  • Ensure data is recorded accurately on the case management system
  • Act as a Designated Safeguarding Officer, managing risk appropriately
  • Analyse performance information using outcomes to identify & implement service improvements
  • Produce performance reports
  • Make appropriate decisions relating to complex cases and other practice issues

You will need:

  • Experience of successful delivery of children & young people services in a similar environment
  • Ability to manage staff
  • An understanding of and experience in managing child protection issues
  • Knowledge of leading, managing & implementing change processes
  • Experience of meeting challenging outcomes in a performance driven environment
  • A proven track record of successfully managing contracts
  • Knowledge & understanding of the current issues for children & young people
  • To demonstrate a proactive & innovative approach to management
  • Able to manage a demanding work load & prioritise effectively
  • Ability to work effectively with partner agencies to enhance service delivery
  • Good IT skills, able to use a database & Microsoft Office
  • Effective negotiation & facilitation skills, with a flexible approach to different audiences
  • Good communication skills, able to communicate sensitively & effectively both verbally & in writing
  • Demonstrate empathy & control own emotions.
  • Able to work flexibly & travel as required
