Position Project and Research Officer
Working hours 30 hours per week
Contract type Unlimited work contract
Salary Gross Salary (14 salaries per year): between €2.553,41 – €2.721,97 Brutto per month according to level of professional experience and based on the Austrian Social Economy Collective Agreement Group 7, between Levels 3-5 (SWÖ-KV)

  • Professional work-experience in research and data collection is essential

WAVE is looking for an experienced and committed Project and Research Officer, to support WAVE with our project and research activities.

This role will have the following main responsibilities:

  • Supports WAVE’s research and assists in data collection and analysis.
  • Supports WAVE’s international project work, coordinates selected project activities.
  • Contributes to WAVE publications and capacity-building initiatives.

To be considered for this role you should have the following respective experiences and skills:

  • Degree or diploma in Gender Studies, Political Science, or related field (or relevant work experience).
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in research and data collection.
  • Experience in project coordination.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience preferably in an NGO or non-profit setting.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent knowledge and use of Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Excellent time-management skills as well as professional communication skills ideally in an international context.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, German knowledge is a plus.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
  • A sound understanding of violence against women, gender equality and feminism.
