The European Sleep Research Society is looking for an Executive Manager to support the next phase of its development as the leading European scientific and professional society in sleep research and sleep medicine.
The Executive Manager will work closely with the ESRS Board, staff, committees, national sleep societies, external providers, and partners to ensure that decisions and projects are implemented efficiently, transparently, and with continuity. This is a senior operational role at the centre of ESRS governance, coordination, and strategic implementation.
The successful candidate will help strengthen the operational backbone of ESRS, including Board and committee support, coordinating and leading staff activities, internal workflows, project coordination, reporting, congress-related oversight, external provider management, and support for sponsorship, partnership, and foundation-related activities.
We are looking for a well organised, highly proactive, diplomatic, and reliable professional with experience in association management, scientific or medical societies, non-profit organisations, academic environments, healthcare organisations, or professional membership bodies. Strong project management skills, leadership experience, and excellent English language proficiency. Additionally, experience in working with boards and international stakeholders, as well as the ability to translate strategic decisions into concrete operational action are essential.
