We have all had the desire to change something in the world. But no idea how. Or we quickly discarded the idea because we didn't have the confidence to implement it. We are neither well enough prepared, nor do we have the right team. So the easiest thing to do is to forget the whole thing again. There are enough cat videos.

At the latest now you won't get away with these excuses anymore! Because the unconventional training called imp!act comes to Vienna for the second time and trains the social entrepreneurships of the future.
What is imp!act ?
imp!act is one thing above all: ingenious! It is no coincidence that the training concept developed by the Swiss social enterprise euforia in 2010 has already received awards from UNESCO, the World Economic Forum and the European Commission, among others. In 2015, imp!act already took place 13 times with a total of over 400 participants in Europe and South America. The imp!act Vienna 2016 is organized by the sustainability-oriented student organization oikos Vienna
and will take place from 07.12.-10.12.2016 at Amerlinghaus am Spittelberg.
How does imp!act work ?
The participants can expect an extremely intensive program - after all, three and a half days are not exactly long to save the world:
- At the beginning, inspiration is sought from already committed social entrepreneurs, so-called changemakers.
- Then, personal interests, skills, and values are combined into a concrete project idea to address an environmental or social problem.
- In project groups, with the support of the imp!act team trained for this purpose, the skills necessary for implementation are developed.
- This is followed by a reality check in which the first implementations can be tested immediately.
- At the end, there will be advice from experts as well as feedback from an expert jury.
- Those who can actually still stand afterwards go out to celebrate.
imp!act Vienna
The project sic! (students innovation center), which was created in 2015 at the first imp!act Vienna and promotes sustainable projects at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, won the jury award of 3000€ at the Social Impact Award Austria this year. So we can look forward to the results of imp!act 2016.
