About the Role
The Global Civil Society Coalition for the UNCAC is looking to hire a Finance and Administrative Officer (30h/week) to join its Vienna Hub office.
In a hands-on, international environment with a small team, the Finance and Administrative Officer will take a leading role in preparing and managing the organization’s finances, managing the office, supporting human resources, and helping ensure smooth operations.
We would be very interested in hearing from you if you are a highly diligent person with accounting experience, ideally in the non-profit sector, if you have strong English skills and knowledge of German, and would like to support the operations of our organization and join our small team working with a global community to advance anti-corruption efforts around the world.
The contract is limited to one year, subject to available funding, we would be seeking to extend the contract into an unlimited position. There may be opportunities for professional growth and, at a later stage, an increase in the weekly work time.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Accounting: Preparation of financial transactions and related documentation;
- Budget planning and tracking, support of donor reporting;
- Supporting the preparation of annual accounts (done by an external accounting firm) and an external audit;
- Responsibility for ongoing office operations (supplies, purchases, travel bookings, contracts, etc.);
- Human resources support, including the administration of job applications and occasional tenders for contracts (consultants, service providers); correspondence with external payroll company;
- Logistical support to Coalition activities and advocacy (workshops and events, including around UN meetings, occasional travel bookings for team and board members, etc.);
- Ensuring and promoting compliance with various Coalition policies and donor requirements;
- Support of other tasks and the ongoing work of the organization.
Your profile:
- At least three years of work experience relevant to this position;
- Experience working with a non-profit organization is a plus;
- Interest in the mission and work of the Coalition;
- Excellent English skills and knowledge of German (English is our working language, some tasks will require technical German);
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel;
- Diligent work style with strong attention to details;
- Professional conduct;
- Hands-on mentality;
- Ability to work with limited oversight, a high degree of self-organization, reliability, and trustworthiness;
- Background or experience in accounting and familiarity with the software QuickBooks is a plus;
- Based in Vienna.

- The minimum gross salary for this position is € 2.300 (based on 38,5 hours/week), 14 times a year, with a willingness to pay more, depending on qualifications and experience.
