Why we need to raise our prices

  • We have grown considerably in the last two years since the last price increase and have a significantly higher volume of job advertisements and support requeststo process via telephone and e-mail. With the previous price calculation, this was difficult to cope with on some days, which is why we have to increase our team in order to maintain our good service.
  • We invest a lot in programming new features on the job portal. In the last few weeks alone, we have added many new functions. You can read about them in our new changelog.
  • We have significantly more jobs than 1-2 years ago, so we need to be able to filter them well. A good search and mobile optimization of the website is technically complex and costs money. We would like to invest even more in this in the coming months.
  • The recruiting market is changing. In the USA, "new" models such as programmatic job ads have already become established, i.e. employers no longer pay a lump sum per job ad, but - similar to Google Ads or Facebook Ads - pay per click (cost per click - CPC) or per application (CPA - cost per application). We are also looking into these issues and are investing time and money in the technical development of the job portal in order to be able to offer such products in the future.
  • To reach job seekers even better, we need to improve our automated email job alert and offer notifications via other channels such as Telegram, Signal, Whatsapp and social media. This will enable us to reach job seekers better, especially on mobile devices. (A survey of around 80 job seekers showed that our community would particularly like these features).
  • Furthermore, we would like to offer our Ukraine campaign , where you can place a free basic ad if it is a job directly related to the war in Ukraine.
  • Of course, inflation also affects us, as some of our suppliers (mainly software and SaaS providers) have also raised their prices.
  • And last but not least: our prices are still relatively low compared to the large generalist job boards. While these job portals have a much wider reach overall, we believe you get the best quality of applications from specialized niche job boards like NGOjobs.eu. Did you know, for example, that 90% of our users would be willing to give up a better-paid job in the private sector for a meaningful job in the NPO sector? Read more results of our survey here.
