NGO Consultation Hour 2017 - The follow-up report

This year's UNI SUCCESS NGO consultation was a complete success...

... and was accompanied by a film crew for the first time!

The NGO Consultation Hour 2017 was a premiere in that we were accompanied by professional filmmakers for the first time. Ammar Dandash and his colleague Hussein Abo Baker joined us at UNI SUCCESS 17 , filmed the event, took photos and conducted interviews with trade fair visitors and NGO employees. You can see the result of their work by clicking on the video above - it's a short video that introduces NGOJobs, our work at trade fairs and the concept of the NGO consultation hour. We think the result is very successful and would like to thank Ammar and Hussein for filming and editing the video.

Did you miss the trade fair? Then you can read our follow-up report below and find out which 10 exciting NGOs visited our stand. And: Don't worry - we'll definitely be back at UNI SUCCESS 18 next year!

Impressions of the NGO consultation hour at UNI SUCCESS 17

On Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. , the now traditional NGO consultation hour of NGOJobs took place again at the UNI SUCCESS career fair. It offered visitors to the fair at the University of Vienna the exciting opportunity to meet 10 local and international NGOs in person to find out about job, internship and volunteering opportunities.

A diverse audience from all age groups, whether students, career changers or simply interested parties from various fields, used the NGO consultation hour in a relaxed atmosphere to get an idea of the current NGO scene. The various NGO employees provided detailed information about job profiles, areas of responsibility and career entry into the non-profit sector. In the composition of the NGOs represented, a mixture of large and small organizations, as well as a variety of NGO areas (human rights, environment, etc.) was very important to us. Over the course of the day, the following organizations were represented at our stand for more than an hour each:

10.00 - 11.15 a.m. - SOS Children's Villages & System Change, not Climate Change!

11.15 - 12.30 - Respekt.net & Make Me Smile International

12.30 - 13.45 - Youth-Environment-Platform JUMP & Jugend eine Welt

13.45 - 15.00 - LIGHT FOR THE WORLD & "little hearts" association

15.00 - 16.15 - Amnesty International & Immo-Humana

It was pleasing to see the large number of young and old who want to get involved in a good cause and help other people, even in their professional lives. The high level of interest once again demonstrated the growing importance and popularity of the sector among many young professionals. Numerous students from a wide range of disciplines came to find out how they can use their expertise to get involved, including on a voluntary basis.

We would like to thank everyone involved for their great support and are already looking forward to the next event with the NGO consultation hour.
