Taking on social responsibility, solving global problems and changing society are just a few of the many reasons motivating more and more students to pursue a job in the nonprofit sector. Whether it's a job with an NGO or as a social entrepreneur- the career opportunities are diverse. The areas of activity vary greatly depending on the organization and the field of work, and so do the qualifications required.

In this lecture, the founder of the online platform NGOJobs, Mag. Ferdinand Lischka, will present the NPO sector as a job market to interested students, give application tips for lawyers and also a practical insight from his full-time job as a legal advisor for asylum and aliens law at the Diakonie Refugee Service.

Presenter

Ferdinand Lischka studied law at the Juridicum Vienna until 2011 and founded the online job exchange NGOJobs.eu in the same year. After various internships and stays abroad, he has been working since 2015 at the Diakonie Flüchtlingsdienst (Diakonie Refugee Service) as a legal advisor for asylum seekers and third-country nationals on asylum and alien law issues.
