Kisharon Langdon are a newly merged charity offering a wider breadth of services of enhanced quality, enabling us to better support people with learning disabilities and autism and their families. The Role

The Director of Fundraising will be primarily responsible for developing and overseeing the entire fundraising portfolio including events, individual donors and corporates, trusts and foundations and legacies.

The successful candidate will review the current stream of income and be responsible for formulating a long-term strategy in enhancing the current stream and developing new streams of revenue to achieve the required targets and growth of voluntary income.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide motivational leadership to the wider strategic management of the organisation, act as a role model of our shared values To bring excellent judgement and insight to the wider strategic leadership of Kisharon Langdon as a member of the Senior Leadership Team and demonstrate a strong commitment to collaboration, cross-team working and complex stakeholder management. To develop, motivate and manage a team of fundraisers across different fundraising functions. To develop the quality and profile of fundraising, building strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, in particular trustees, benefactors, patrons and other key donors, families of members/people we support and future partners. To develop and implement a fundraising strategy. To grow and develop innovative and effective ways to raise funds, including corporate and trusts giving, legacy funding, major donor and the community campaign, and digital fundraising to increase and diversify the organisation’s income. To be responsible for setting and achieving annual fundraising budgets.

About You

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, with proven experience in raising substantial funds from multiple avenues and maintaining strong donor partnerships. You will have experience of managing and forecasting income and expenditure budgets and setting and achieving targets. Ambitious with a strong values base, you will have experience of and enjoy leading and working as part of a small but highly motivated team and be willing to step up to make impactful decisions regarding the financial growth and direction of the organisation.
