About the Role:

As an innovation leader, the IT Team Lead evaluates the potential impact of new technologies on the organization by researching and implementing the latest trends and developments. A deep understanding of the organization’s needs and the ability to make informed decisions about which technologies to adopt is needed. This requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to assess the potential benefits and risks of new systems. By effectively managing the related budget, the IT Team Lead empowers the organization to achieve its goals while maintaining financial stability.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Understand the technology needs of Light for the World. Evaluate new technologies to enhance business processes.
  • Develop project plans to align team efforts with organizational objectives. Monitor progress to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Oversee the help desk function, developing the global support system and ensuring timely resolution of IT-related issues and excellent user support.
  • Present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to convince nontechnical audiences. Develop strategic plans to envision a successful future for the organization.
  • Establish a team from the ground up. Set goals for team members to energize their efforts. Provide feedback and coaching to cultivate the team skills to ensure highly trained IT professionals can support the organization in its development.
  • Analyse financial data to forecast expenses. Devise strategies to allocate resources efficiently.

Your profile:

  • Possess strong technical support know-how.
  • Several years of experience in IT, with a proven track record of progressively increasing responsibilities.
  • Inspire, motivate, and lead a small team effectively. Willingness to mentor and develop team members, fostering their professional growth.
  • Capable of working collaboratively with other teams and departments within the organization.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and team members.
  • Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Openness to learning new tools, methodologies, and best practices in the IT industry.

What we can offer as an employer:

  • For this position an annual gross salary of approximately EUR 55.000€-60.000€- (based on 38hrs/week in Austria) commensurate with qualifications and experience is foreseen. Entry date: as soon as possible.
