Full Circle Foundation Limited

Full Circle Foundation (FCF) is a values-led, ecocentric grant-making organisation that supports regenerative, community-rooted approaches to environmental and social change. We operate with a global outlook and a small, committed team working across multiple regions and time zones. We have a series of regional programmes and a global programme with several strands. We believe in working collaboratively, thinking systemically, and practising care in how we interact with each other, with partners, and with the wider world. Our culture is shaped by our Breathe Freely ethos, which encourages spaciousness, reflection, and balance, even in the face of complex challenges. We operate without conspicuous hierarchy, which means roles are collaborative rather than directive, and everyone contributes to shaping how we work. We embrace diverse ways of being, knowing and doing.

FCF is seeking an experienced and strategic grants administration leader to provide organisational oversight of its grants function as the organisation continues its growth and transition towards a more independent operating model.

This is a unique opportunity to shape and strengthen the operational foundations that support a global portfolio of environmental and social change initiatives. The role will lead the evolution of FCF’s grants infrastructure, governance frameworks, compliance approach, and operational systems, ensuring that grant-making remains effective, proportionate, and aligned with the Foundation’s values and ways of working.

Operating as the senior lead for grants administration, the postholder will work closely with colleagues across Programmes, Finance, and Operations to support organisational effectiveness, risk management, continuous improvement, and long-term resilience. The role will also provide leadership to the Grants Administration team, helping to develop capability, strengthen systems and processes, and support the organisation through an evolving and increasingly complex international grant-making landscape.

Key skills and experience

The successful candidate will bring:

  • Significant experience in a senior grants administration, grants operations, or grants governance role within an international grant-making organisation
  • Deep knowledge of grant-making compliance, due diligence, governance, and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience leading and developing teams, including mentoring, coaching, and building organisational capability
  • Strong understanding of grants management systems, data governance, reporting, and operational infrastructure
  • Experience designing, improving, and scaling systems, processes, and operational frameworks
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal, financial, and operational information
  • Experience advising senior leaders on governance, compliance, operational risk, or organisational effectiveness
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence across functions and cultures
  • Experience leading organisational, operational, or systems change within complex and evolving environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions

Personal qualities

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Collaborative and relationship-oriented
  • Grounded, reflective, and self-aware
  • Comfortable working with complexity and ambiguity
  • Detail-oriented whilst maintaining a strategic perspective
  • Able to balance rigour and compliance with pragmatism and care
  • Aligned with Full Circle Foundation’s mission, values, and commitment to regenerative change
