Once again in 2017, far too many people around the world had to flee their homes. To support them, many committed people have joined forces in initiatives and organizations. In its media library, Arte presents 12 citizens' initiatives that launched impressive projects last year.
Reports include the Lampedusa boat offering alternative city tours in Amsterdam, mentoring for founders of SINGA in Berlin, psychological care in Greece, female plumbers in Jordan or the creation of a comprehensive encyclopedia on migration and its cultural significance. They all show moving projects of committed people who want to help each other.
