Neuer Lehrgang „BAMK – Begleitung von AsylwerberInnen, MigrantInnen und Kriegsflüchtlingen“

The Alliance for Human Rights & Civil Courage and the ANTI-RACISM CENTRE VIENNA are organizing a new course for all those who work with the target group of asylum seekers, migrants or refugees.

Target group: People who work voluntarily with asylum seekers, migrants and refugees, or who repeatedly come into contact with these target groups in their work (e.g. teachers, youth workers, social workers, etc.). The course is not intended for people who already work professionally on the topic. (e.g. professional employees of legal advice centers.)

Prerequisites: Interest in the topic; willingness to participate in the group work for two weekends; experience in working with the target group mentioned or interest in getting involved in this area. Good knowledge of German.

Objectives: Relevant information, legal framework, methods and instruments for the practical support of asylum seekers, migrants and war refugees in labor market integration. Access to the relevant networks. Important basic and additional qualifications. The course enables the participants to provide well-founded initial information, they can provide orientation in their work and know where and how to find the right actors and which networks offer professional support.

The course teaches: Legal framework for asylum and immigration law | Basic knowledge on the recognition of training and educational qualifications | Labor market information | Integration in the labor market | Relevant interfaces and players in the focus area | Inter- & transcultural competences and social skills | You can find the detailed program here.

Methods: Exercises, lectures, theoretical and practical inputs, discussions, group work, reflection.

Completion: The course concludes with a certificate.

Costs: Participation is free of charge.
