In cooperation with Austrian Lotteries, Club Niederösterreich organized a nationwide photo competition with the aim of highlighting the voluntary and honorary work of tens of thousands of people for the general public.
Whether in the charitable or social sector, whether in sport or disaster relief, whether in the maintenance of tradition or in cultural activities, whether in youth work or education, whether civic or church commitment - what volunteers do for the good of society is unpaid and yet of inestimable value.
Photos were sent showing the joy and enthusiasm of volunteers. Pictures that bear visible witness to the fact that volunteering creates meaning and identity, strengthens cohesion and promotes solidarity. The closing date for entries was September 18, 2015
The prizes included a relaxing short break as well as attractive non-cash prizes and tickets to cultural highlights in Lower Austria. The award ceremony took place on November 4, 2015 in a festive setting at Austrian Lotteries' Studio 44 in Vienna.
