NGO-Porträt: „Nachhaltig in Graz“ sammelt Tipps für Ressourcenschonung in Graz
Wir haben den Verein „Nachhaltig in Graz“ vor einigen Jahren persönlich bei einem NGO-Netzwerktreffen in Graz kennengelernt und waren bereits damals von dem großen Engagement des Vereins begeistert. Grundidee ist es, in Graz lebenden People nachhaltiges Leben möglichst einfach zu ermöglichen – NGOJobs.eu hat jetzt nachgefragt, was hinter dem ambitionierten Projekt steckt.
Sustainable living - as simple as possible
NGOJobs.eu: „Nachhaltig in Graz“: Wie würdest du das Projekt bzw. die Webseite in drei Sätzen beschreiben?
Nachhaltig in Graz: Nachhaltig in Graz ist eine Plattform (Webseite + App), mit der ein nachhaltiges Leben so einfach und so attraktiv als möglich gemacht wird. Zudem liegt uns das Thema Ressourcenschonung und Sharing sehr am Herzen. Daher gibt es diesbezüglich immer wieder Projekte, wie zB unseren permanenten Verschenkladen, offene Bücherregale oder auch Kleidertauschmärkte, die wir durchführen oder unterstützen.
How did NiG come about? What was the brilliant idea, when and why did you start the project?
Despite growing interest in sustainable living, there were still no tips available to the people of Graz in 2017. That's why we founded the website at the beginning of 2017.
A colorful collection throughout Styria
You have lots of exciting reports on numerous topics - book tips as well as sustainable shopping options, Graz initiatives and a comprehensive calendar of events. Which areas are particularly close to your heart? What is your focus in 2020?
We love the colorful mix on our website and find it particularly important so that everyone can find something. But it is particularly important to us that people get involved and not only live sustainably within their own four walls, but also inspire others to do the same. Our events calendar is certainly one of the main attractions on our website for the people of Graz. In 2020, we would like to continue to fill the website intensively (there are still many sustainable options missing), but also to further complete our Styria-wide collection.
What challenges are you currently facing in particular?
Reconciling our ideas, all the many, so important and so necessary tasks with the small number of fellow campaigners and the little money and not losing our strength in the process. Personal and financial support is therefore very welcome!
People who move closer together...
What are your wishes for the still young year 2020?
That the environmental and climate movement becomes even more active and that we people realize what is important and come together again. That business and corporations also see the common good and climate protection as a goal.
